For those of you who are trying to leave a comment, Bob and I just tried it out and here's what you need to do: Click on the word "Comment" at the end of the current day (or any other day) and a new window will pop up. Write your comment, and in the box with scrambled letters, type the letters they suggest, then Click on "anonymous" and it will be sent. You can type in your name at the end of your comment so we know who it is but you don't have to sign up for google, or fill in any other boxes. Please Note: Within my daughter's daily posting, you can click on the text that is highlighted, e.g. Winterset, IA, and a window will pop-up with that information. It was really fun to see the pictures of the covered bridges that we visited. Thanks to all of you who have written so far - we appreciate your thoughts, prayers and good wishes.
If we have to be some place for possibly two days, Winterset is beautiful. Bob had a great day yesterday, and he amazes me on the hill climbing. I found my first coffee shop and didn't even recognize it at first. While Bob napped I hit the shops in Winterset, lots of antiques and stuff. Today we'll do some more sightseeing and be real tourists plus it's a good day for Bob to relax. Maybe I'll even do some painting or knitting that I haven't done any of so far - I am busy keeping Bob hydrated, nourished and encouraged. By-the-way, I drive between 40 and 50 mph so I do look like a woman driver with Florida plates.
Bob's comment: I could not do this without Sherrie's support and encouragement. It is a great feeling to see the Rialta ahead for a rest stop. And also to my daughter, Nicki who updates our Blog daily and adds all the other maps and Habitat entries. I did have one funny remark from an old man on the trip: When he asked what I was doing and I told him, he said: I thought you were supposed to get smarter as you got older!
We hope to leaving Winterset, IA tomorrow, Thursday, but the weather says winds up to 40 mph could delay the trip another day.
